Here are some benefits in using this system:
1. No per claim or setup charge for providers to submit claims to CHNCT
2. Support for HIPAA Compliant transactions including the transactions for claims, eligibility and eob.
3. Available 24/7 to submit and retrieve reports regarding claims
What do you need to use the Direct Connection?
1. Access to the Internet. The site is available via a secure website.
2. Sign our Trading Partner Agreement with our vendor Legacy Consulting.
3. Test your HIPAA Compliant transactions with us. This process will include submitting test files and downloading test transactions manually. Once you have passed the testing process, you will go live and can be automated on an individual basis.
4. IMPORTANT: This site is for the transmission of HIPAA transactions and in no way will enable your system to process HIPAA complaint transactions. Only you or your software vendor can set up your system to generate and receive HIPAA compliant transactions. We will work with your software vendor or IS staff to test transactions but can not make changes or offer help in the configuration of your systems.
