Food Drive: How CAN You Help?

Each fall, CHNCT holds an annual food drive. During this daylong event, we collect food and distribute it to shelters in the Hartford area. We would like to thank CHNCT staff and the public for generously donating each year.

In 2009, we donated more than 1,150 items to the following shelters:

• Hockanum Valley Community Council, Vernon
• Newington Food Bank
• Windsor Food Bank
• The House of Bread, Hartford

In 2008, we donated several hundred items to the following shelters:

• East Hartford Community Shelter
• Hockanum Valley Community Council, Vernon
• Immaculate Conception Shelter, Hartford
• Interval House for Battered Women, Hartford
