Choices is CHNCT’s nutrition, health and wellness program. Choices began as a partnership between CHNCT and the state Department of Public Health.
The mission of the Choices program is to provide high-quality, culturally appropriate nutrition and health education. Through this program, CHNCT seeks to increase healthy behaviors. It also seeks to aid in positive lifestyle changes.

Attend a CHNCT HEALTHY COOKING CLASS + Get a FREE Reusable Bag and Groceries Worth $25
A special event for CHNCT members to keep you healthy. You’re invited to a Choices education, nutrition and wellness workshop.
Through this instructional cooking class, you will learn the basics of the five food groups. You will also learn how your health is impacted by the foods you eat.
SOME OF THE TOPICS TO BE DISCUSSED ARE:
- The five food groups
- Daily calorie requirements
- Good and bad fats
- Salt and sugar
- Healthy alternatives to your favorite foods
If you would like to sign up, please call 203.949.4028. You must sign up for this workshop. There are a set number of spaces available. Please reserve your spot early. Childcare is available for children ages 2 to 12.
This event is for CHNCT members only. You must bring your Member ID card to the class. If you do not bring your Member ID card, you will not be able to attend the class. |
