The Amazing Sun Race

CHOICES is a Nutritional Education Initiative and ongoing program with the CT Department of Public Health. On Saturday, October 14, 2006 we hosted The Amazing Sun Race all over the city of New Haven. Eight (8) teams of six (6) people - five students and one school administrator - were given nine (9) mental and physical challenges to have a chance to win a cash prize for the winning school! Hyde Leadership Academy and The Sound School tied for First Place with James Hillhouse High School coming in Third Place.

Coming in Fall 2007, The Amazing Sun Race will return to the city of New Haven for its second competition. Area high schools will compete in challenges with the top three teams winning prize money for their school. Students interested in competing should see the Physical Education teacher about the team selection process.  All of us at CHNCT hope to see you there for this exciting event!
